Liberty Technology Park Cluj in the spotlight: new residents, special events and international recognition

Medicover Group is the newest resident of Liberty Technology Park Cluj, where they opened in early July the second clinic in Cluj-Napoca, following an investment of 300,000 euros, in early July. Moreover, the technological park has another new resident: One-IT has opened here an operational office in June.

Medicover, a stronger presence in Cluj due to the facilities of Liberty Technology Park Cluj

Medicover, one of the leading providers of private medical services in Romania, opened in July 7 the second multidisciplinary clinic in Cluj-Napoca, following an investment of 300,000 euros. The unit covers a surface of 285 square meters on the ground floor of the E Building in Liberty Technology Park, and provides access to ten medical specialties, a department for occupational medicine, a space for physical therapy and physiotherapy, as well as programs for employees` health.

With the clinic in Liberty Technology Park Cluj, the companies benefit of special programs for the health of the employees, with focus on health monitoring, increasing the performance, monitoring the stress levels, and ergokinetotherapy. The new clinic is the second unit Medicover has in Cluj-Napoca, joining the clinic on Republicii Street, opened in 2006.

One-IT has opened an operational office in the technological heart of Transylvania

In the context of the support Liberty Technology Park Cluj gives the resident companies from the IT&C and R&D industries, a new partner has opened here a B2B office: One-IT, provider of advanced services, products and IT solutions. With headquarters in Baia Mare, the company has built in 12 years a portfolio based on the expertise of international partners and wants to actively contribute to the development of the technological and entrepreneurial environment presented in LTPC.

One-IT`s presence in the technology park brings several benefits for both the resident companies and local companies in Cluj-Napoca, in terms of designing and maintaining the IT infrastructure, software licensing, private cloud development, or data back-up.

A summer full of events from the very beginning

Planable, the team mentored by Spherik Accelerator, is the big winner of the hackathon organized by Techsylvania in early summer and is preparing to present the project in Silicon Valley.

In early June, Liberty Technology Park Cluj hosted the TIFF & Mastercard anniversary party within the famous film festival, which has reached the 15th edition. The event brought together personalities of cinematography, businesspeople and local community leaders, who enjoyed together an exceptional event in fairytale natural environment of the technology park.

The month of June also meant a working visit from the Fribourg Capital management team. Board members, led by Mr. Ion Sturza, analyzed the LTPC strategy and configured future perspectives.

In late June, the contact-center service provider Arvato, owned by the German media group Bertelsmann, entered the Cluj market by the opening of the new support center at Liberty Technology Park Cluj. The company occupies 1,700 square meters here – offices, relaxation areas and related spaces.
