From pianos and Belle Epoque music to ”Little Harvard”: the English pronunciaton of ”Libertatea” (”Liberty”)

Historian Attila Varga launched at LTPC the volume ”From piano music to Hi-Tech. Libertatea furniture factory from Cluj (1870-2016)”, published under the aegis of the Institute of History „George Barițiu” of Romanian Academy and supported by Liberty Technology Park Cluj.

Launched in the context of celebrating 700 years since Cluj-Napoca obtained the title of free royal city, the volume tells about the long history of the factory: from the business of a Viennese piano craftsman, with a path through communism and an important revival in the IT age.

The book was presented by Dr. Valentin Orga, Director of the Central University Library, Adelina Chișu, Marketing Director at NTT Data, and Ion Sturza, President of Fribourg Capital, the developer of Liberty Technology Park Cluj.
